Autism and Bullying
I have to keep the bullying conversation open.
Because it happens.
It’s important.
And, because I worry about it.
A lot.
What about bullying?
I recently worked at my job with a couple of seventeen-year-olds who attended my son’s school. I asked them about the bullying situation at the school. They said that it’s pretty good, things “get handled” quickly.
So they said.
Bullying is still a major concern because I feel my child could be a target.
He can look “odd.” Or “weird.” Or whatever.
All kids with autism
Unfortunately, I believe all our kids are easy targets.
So, let’s keep talking out it.
